Truck Causes Damage To Washington Crossing Bridge

UPPER MAKEFIELD, PA — A truck attempting to cross the Washington Crossing Bridge caused damage to the span during an early morning accident on Friday.
According to Upper Makefield Police, just before 1 a.m. the driver attempted to cross the span, which has a 10 foot height restriction and prohibits truck traffic.
The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the incident.

The bridge was closed for close to eight hours, reopening around 9 a.m.
