Truck Obliterates Utility Pole, Knocks Out Power In Upper Makefield

UPPER MAKEFIELD, PA — Woodland Road near Wrightstown Road is closed and detoured Thursday morning due to a one vehicle crash.

According to police, a truck obliterated a utility pole causing Woodland Road to be inaccessible.

Fortunately, there were no injuries, said police, but the roadway will be closed for an extended period while PECO crews fix the damage. Local residents can expect power outages.

“At this time, we do not know when the power will be restored or the roadway cleared,” said police. “For those of you who live on Woodland, crews will be working to make your neighborhood accessible.“
