Pennsylvania Weather Forecast: 2 Chances of Snow Possible This Week
Snow overnight Thursday into Friday could accumulate, causing slippery conditions for the Friday morning commute.

If you're hoping to see some snow soon, this week could be your chance. The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook, saying there are two chances for snow accumulation this week in parts of Eastern Pennsylvania. The outlook, issued for Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties, says there is a chance of snow Thursday and Saturday in those areas.
In the Lehigh Valley, accumulating snow is possible Thursday. On Thursday night into Friday morning, there is a chance of accumulating snow of 1 to 3 inches in the Philadelphia region. "This will result in snow covered roads and slippery conditions with potentially significant impacts for the Friday morning commute," the National Weather Service says.
“While this certainly will not be a major snowfall, the timing of this covering of snow will make many roads slippery for the Friday morning commute,” according to AccuWeather Meteorologist Brian Thompson.

Then on Saturday, an offshore storm could track close enough to the region to produce a "period of accumulating snow," according to the National Weather Service. However, forecasters with the NWS have "low confidence" in that storm having a significant impact, given its current track and strength.
Residents should monitor the forecast for developments.
