About our speaker: Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Heather first touched a soccer ball at age 6 and was instantly hooked. On an athletic scholarship, she attended the University of Florida where she became the Gator's all-time record holder in appearances, starts, and minutes played. Heather helped bring the Gators to their firstever NCAA Women's Soccer Championship. In 1999, Heather was named a first-team All-American. After college, she launched herself into professional soccer with huge success, playing with the
Philadelphia Charge, Boston Breakers, Philadelphia Independence and currently the Atlanta
Beat of the Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) league. She is a member of the United States Women's National Soccer Team and has won 2 gold medals with the US Olympic team. She is married to former
