Vehicle Stolen, Theft Of Services: Newtown Township Police Report
Resident reports theft of services; truck enforcement unit takes three vehicles out of service, eight citations issued.
NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Newtown Township Police Department reports the following incidents:
June 13, 2022
- At approximately 6:15 a.m. a Wrightstown Township resident contacted police to report a stolen motor vehicle. It was parked at the residence, unlocked with the keys inside, and was stolen overnight. The investigation is ongoing at this time. Police remind everyone to remove keys and valuables and lock their cars.

- A Wrightstown Township resident contacted police around 1:30 p.m. to report a theft of services. The total value of loss was approximately $26,000, and the investigation is ongoing at this time.
June 15, 2022
- The Newtown-Makefield Truck Enforcement Unit conducted a commercial vehicle safety detail in the area of the Newtown Bypass and Lindenhurst Road. The unit is made up of officers from this department, the Newtown Borough Police Department, and the Upper Makefield Township Police Department. During the detail, nine trucks were stopped and inspected. Three trucks were placed out of service and eight citations and 12 warnings were issued as a result of violations that were found.
- At approximately 2 p.m. a Newtown Township resident contacted police to report stolen medication. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
