Council Rock North's JV  baseball team celebrated an 8-1 win over Archbishop Ryan in the season opener Tuesday. By the end of the third inning, the Indians had taken a 6-0 lead.  Rock's pitching was excellent, with starter Brett Newman on the mound for four innings.  

Aside from superb pitching, the team also played well offensively, showing off excellent hitting and base-running skills. Coach Bob Rabberman said he is excited about the cohesiveness of this 2011 team. The JV next home game is  April 7 at 3:30 p.m. against Abington High School.
