Walking Tour To Explore Historic Properties At Tyler State Park
Registrants will receive a 100-page book, "The History of Tyler State Park – A Self-Guided Walking Tour," written by Brian Rounsavill.

NEWTOWN, PA — A self-guided walking tour at Tyler State Park begins at 10 a.m. at the Boathouse Pavilion on Saturday, September 23. T
Organized by the Newtown Historic Association, the tour will highlight the park's historic properties and farmhouses scattered throughout the grounds.
As part of this ticketed event, representatives from both the Newtown Historic Association and the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources will be on hand to provide a general overview and answer questions at the beginning of the day.

Registrants will receive a 100-page book, "The History of Tyler State Park – A Self-Guided Walking Tour," written by Brian Rounsavill. The limited-edition book contains rare photographs and detailed descriptions of the many historic properties and farmhouses, including the construction of the Tyler mansion, and how they were acquired by the Tyler family in the early 1900s. The cost of the book is $16 and the book will serve as a ticket to the tour.
