Warrington Resident Joins Newtown Township Police Force
The Newtown Township Police Department welcomed Justin Abbonizio of Warrington to the force on Wednesday night.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Newtown Township Police Department welcomed Justin Abbonizio of Warrington to the force on Wednesday night.
District Judge Mick Petrucci presided at a swearing in ceremony, administering the oath to Abbonizio during a meeting of the board of supervisors.
The meeting was attended by Abbonizio’s family, friends and future colleagues on the Newtown Township Police Force.

Abbonizio, who grew up in Warrington, is a 2017 graduate of Central Bucks High School South where he played lacrosse. He went on to attend Shenandoah University in Virginia where he played lacrosse for the Hornets while earning a degree in criminal justice. He graduated in 2021.
A little more than a year later in October 2022, he completed his municipal police officer training at Temple University.
“Based on test requirements, pre-employment background investigation and other information, Justin comes highly recommended and appears to be an outstanding addition to our team,” said Chief John Hearn.
