Washington Crossing Lecture To Explore The Battle Of Saratoga
Author to will lecture on his book, "The Compleat Victory: Saratoga and the American Revolution."

WASHINGTON CROSSING, PA — Washington Crossing Historic Park (PA) will host author Kevin Weddle on Wednesday, November 9 at 7 p.m. Weddle will lecture on his book, "The Compleat Victory: Saratoga and the American Revolution."
Compleat Victory recently won the 9th annual Gilder Lehrman Military History Prize, which is bestowed by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History in recognition of the best book in the field of military history published in English during the previous calendar year.
Weddle, who is professor of military theory and strategy and the Elihu Root Chair of Military Studies at the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, will discuss some of the key events and themes from this pivotal event in U.S. history based on accounts detailed in his book.

Weddle is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy and served over 28 years on active duty before retiring as a colonel. He holds master’s degrees in history and civil engineering from the University of Minnesota and a PhD in history from Princeton University.
The lecture will be held in person at the park’s visitor center and live streamed on Zoom. Books will be available for purchase and a book signing with the author will be held after the talk.

The lecture is free, but registration for both in-person and virtual attendance is required at WashingtonCrossingPark.org/events. Those watching on Zoom will receive login information
