Washington Crossing Park to Host Sunday Afternoon Concerts

A new Sunday afternoon concert series in Washington Crossing Historic Park will begin next month.

The Newtown Chamber Orchestra will perform the first concert in the series, which will be held Sept. 14 at 2 p.m. in the park’s Visitor Center auditorium. The first concert will feature 18th Century chamber music.

Concerts will be held monthly and will feature different musical groups.

Tickets range from $25 to $45 and are available at the Visitor Center, located near the intersection of River Road and Rt. 532.

Founded in 1990, the highly acclaimed Newtown Chamber Orchestra is an ensemble of professional musicians that offers a selection of classical music repertoire suited to small orchestra.
