WATCH: Jim Worthington Appears On MSNBC's 'Morning Joe'

The local business owner, running to be a Pennsylvania delegate, appeared on the network's morning news program.

Local business owner Jim Worthington appeared Monday morning on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" with Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski during a segment about Pennsylvania's unbound delegates.

Worthington, owner of the Newtown Athletic Club who is running for delegate, tells MSNBC reporter Jacob Soboroff he's personally voting for Trump but if he becomes one of Pennsylvania's 54 unbound delegates, he'll wait to see what his constituency says on primary day.

Pennsylvania does not distribute all of its 71 delegates based on the primary vote. There are 54 "unbound" delegates that can cast their vote at the convention for whoever they want.

Worthington is running a self-funding campaign, telling Soboroff he has spent $30,000 to run for an unbound delegate position.

That sum prompted shock from MSNBC host Scarborough, calling Pennsylvania's system of allocating delegates "stupid."

Reporter Soboroff responded "Can you believe it, $30,000 to run for an unbound delegate position."
