WEATHER ALERT: Winter Weather Predicted In Pa. Today
A Hazardous Weather Outlook is in place for the Philadelphia region. The Lehigh Valley will be under a Winter Weather Advisory.

The first dose of winter weather appears to be on track to hit Pennsylvania this evening and into the night.
The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for the Philadelphia region, including Bucks, Chester and Montgomery counties as forecasters are calling for sleet and freezing rain.
According to the NWS, sleet could mix with rain in the late afternoon through the evening. No accumulation is expected.

The Weather Channel predicts temperatures will be in the upper 30s by nightfall. There is a 30 percent chance of precipitation at 8 p.m. The likelihood of precipitation increases as the night goes on, according to the Weather Channel.
However, parts of the Lehigh Valley will be under a Winter Weather Advisory as of 7 p.m. Forecasters predict portions of the Lehigh Valley can expect sleet, freezing rain and snow.

According to forecasters, up to an inch of snow and sleet mixed with ice could fall in the Lehigh Valley. The precipitation will begin as a mixture around 7 p.m. By 11 p.m., it could change to all snow or sleet before turning to freezing rain by the early morning.
By 7 a.m., the precipitation should be all rain, the National Weather Service predicts. The Winter Weather Advisory expires at 7 a.m. Tuesday.

Good news: warm air moves back in Tuesday, with a high temperature of 55 predicted in the Philadelphia region.
