Weekend Tennis Event To Benefit Newtown-Based Nonprofit
A Tennis Benefit event to support the Newtown- based A Love For Life will be held this weekend at Pennsbury Racquet Club.
NEWTOWN, PA — A Tennis Benefit event to support the Newtown-based A Love For Life will be held this weekend at Pennsbury Racquet Club in Morrisville.
The benefit event will be held Saturday, March 2 from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Registration fees are $60 per doubles player, $45 per player, and $30 per spectator. Players will participate in a minimum of two 30-minute matches between 7 and 10 p.m.

A Love For Life, which supports pancreatic cancer research, is a nonprofit organization founded by Newtown resident Christine Edmonds, whose husband, Kevin, died of pancreatic cancer in 2012. The organization partners with Abramson Cancer Center at The University of Pennsylvania, with 100 percent of the funds raised going towards research.
