Where To See Santa In The Doylestown Area This Christmas Season
Santa Claus is coming To Newtown for Christmas: Where To See Him
DOYLESTOWN, PA — Visits and pictures with Santa are treasured traditions for many Doylestown families. For them, there’s nothing quite like seeing jolly old St. Nick live and in person.
In Doylestown, kids have several chances:
- Santa's House located at the Hamilton Street lot in Doylestown Borough will be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday throughout the holiday season. Hours are 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday. The Santa House will also be open on Christmas Eve from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Pictures with Santa are free, but donations are welcome. Well-behaved pets are welcome. Bring your own camera or smartphone for photos.
- Santa is scheduled to make an appearance at Plumstead Township's annual Tree Lighting on Friday, Dec. 1 beginning at 6 p.m. at Hanusey Park, 4757 Gordon Road, Doylestown. The rain date is Dec. 2. Featured will be an ugly sweater contest, dance performance, choral music, Santa's big arrival aboard a fire truck, crafts and refreshments.
- Buckingham Township will celebrate the arrival of Santa with a tree lighting on Friday, Dec. 1 beginning at 6 p.m. at the township building. Santa is scheduled to arrive at 6:30 p.m. to light the tree. Afterwards, children are invited to visit Santa and make a craft to take home in the Buckingham Room. There will be coffee, cider, hot chocolate and cookies.
- Photo with Santa are available for a fee at Giggleberry Fair at Peddler's Village in Lahaska on Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 17 from 12 to 7 p.m. on Saturday and 12 to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Visit Peddlervillage.com for details.
- A Holly Jolly Weekend on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 2 and 3, will feature Santa Parades through the village starting at 1:30 p.m. both days. There will be live music, family activities, holiday food and drink specials, and a gingerbread display.
- Santa Claus is coming to Central Park, 425 Wells Road, in Doylestown Township on Dec. 9 from 1 to 4 p.m. Come take pictures with Santa, sip some hot chocolate and listen to holiday music. Free cookies and candy canes are included. There will also be crafts and games. Santa's visit is presented by the Doylestown Township Park and Recreation Board and the Doylestown Park & Recreation Department. The event is free and open to the public.
- The Fred Beans Automotive Group invites customers to enjoy free photos and fun with Santa
Claus on Dec. 9 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fred Beans Subaru of Doylestown, 854 N. Easton Rd., and Dec. 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fred Beans Ford of Doylestown, 876 N. Easton Rd. Bring a canned good or another non-perishable food item to help fight hunger in the community. The canned goods will be donated to the Bucks County Opportunity Council.
Santa arrived Nov. 5 at Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s Santa’s Wonderland and will hold court through Christmas Eve. Reservations are encouraged.

Santa will also be at Macy’s stores in New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, Philadelphia and Orlando. Locally, Santa will be at the Oxford Valley Mall daily through Christmas Eve. Stop by or make a reservations on the mall's website. He'll also be visiting the Neshaminy Mall Monday to Saturday from noon to 8 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.
JC Penney stores, including its stores at Oxford Valley Mall in Langhorne, the Montgomery Mall in North Wales and Quakerbridge Mall in Lawrenceville, N.J., are offering professional portraits with Santa through Dec. 18.
