Council Rock Schools Closed Thursday, Jan. 4

There will be no school Thursday, Jan. 4 for Council Rock students due to an anticipated snow storm.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Bucks County, saying up to 7 inches of snow is possible. Strong winds and bitter temperatures, which are part of the forecast, could also present safety issues.

"Our team will be up early in the morning to check on the conditions, as well as the forecast, and make a decision regarding the status of school. You can expect to hear from us, one way or another, by approximately 5:00 a.m.," said Superintendent Robert Fraser in an email to parents around 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The announcement declaring the snow day was made around 9 p.m. Wednesday
