"Ice will likely create hazardous conditions on area roads and walkways. Icy conditions are expected to continue on Monday night and Tuesday morning as temperatures remain below freezing at most locations," the National Weather Service said in its advisory.

Drivers should be prepared for slippery roads and walkways. "Slow down and use extra caution when driving," the NWS warns.

The Winter Weather Advisory is in place from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday.

The Weather Channel predicts freezing drizzle will begin around 3 p.m. It will likely turn to snow showers shortly after. The precipitation should stop by about 9 p.m., according to the Weather Channel's forecast.
