Wire Stolen, Arrest Made In Domestic Dispute: Newtown Twp. Crime Report

Township police also arrested a driver for suspected DUI and investigated a reported theft from a vehicle.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Newtown Township Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests between March 8 and 12:

March 8

  • At approximately 3:45 p.m., Newtown Township Police responded to a home in Wrightstown for the report of a domestic dispute. Based on the officer’s investigation, one party was placed under arrest, processed, and arraigned for simple assault.

  • At approximately 8:48 a.m., police were dispatched to a construction site for the report of a theft of wire. The investigation is ongoing.
  • At approximately 3:25 p.m., a Newtown Township resident came to police headquarters to report a theft from a vehicle that occurred days prior.

March 10

  • At approximately 7:46 a.m., police were dispatched to the area of The Davis Feed Mill for the report of a disabled vehicle. Upon speaking with the driver, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The driver was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
