Wrightstown Elementary Reconfiguration Plan to Be Considered Thursday
Under the plan, Wrightstown Elementary will become a K-4 school, with fifth and sixth grade students attending Newtown Elementary.

The Council Rock School Board will consider a grade reconfiguration plan for Wrightstown Elementary School during a meeting Thursday.

Under the plan, starting next year, Wrightstown Elementary will become a K-4 school, with 5th and 6th grade students attending Newtown Elementary School.

The plan is a result of the district’s pledge to remove all modular units from the schools by September. Wrightstown has five modular units.
Several parents from Wrighstown Elementary have expressed opposition to the plan, saying reconfiguration of just one district school would compromise the overall integrity of a K-6 educational experience.
