Wrightstown's Village Renaissance Faire brings magic to all on the Middletown Grange Fairgrounds again Sept 16 & 17
Fun, affordable family fun here in Bucks County for ALL & Best of ALL ---ALL proceeds benefit the public library
The 18th Annual Village Renaissance Faire creates an interactive world where attendees of all ages are asked to suspend disbelief and take an entertaining, educational, and engaging stroll through the arts, history, and glory of the 17th century. For a mere pittance of $10 for adults, $5 for students (under 5 totally FREE) faire goers encounter jousting knights, dangling aerialists, and flying birds of prey.
But that’s not all! Shows and activities cover a range of ages and interests and surround the faireways, on the stages and all around. Performers from Period Productions, LLC, bring literature to life throughout the day with shows and faire ground encounters based on a new storyline each year. Danger shows feature a working trebuchet, living chess, archery matches, and fire. For the music lover, there are dancers, musicians, and madrigals at every turn. Dance troops will fill two stages, musicians another two, and occasional features by Chaste Treasure, a renowned renaissance women’s ensemble.
While the wee ones are preoccupied with free children's crafts, a kids kingdom, children’s highland games and children’s shows, like juggling, story-telling and Punch & Judy, there are plenty of fine artisans featuring clothing, jewelry, pottery, and giftware to browse. Visiting historians are treated to our large living history square and working artisans featuring blacksmithing, glass working, and woodworking. The Fun for all is not yet over, as all ages can enjoy our medieval gaming glen, thrown weapons, Fight-a-Knight booth, pony and carriage rides, a royal petting zoo, and so much more.

The Faire brings magic to all, with walking trees, armchair wizards, mylin the wizard, tree wishes, unicorns, magic 20 sided die, flying dragons, dragon-sized games, a singing dragon, and even a port of call in the midst of bucks county. Hundreds of people think happy thoughts, act with heart and generosity, and together, they produce the village renaissance faire, a faire, of, by and for all people.
When the need for a rest overtakes our guests, they can enjoy a festive turkey leg while listening to music at our covered lyrical stage or gazing upon our annual heraldry display. From the welcome one receives from our village platers at the opening of the gate, to all of the activities and shows, an enjoyable day is sure to be had. And BEST OF ALL, not only is entrance only $5 for students and children, but ALL proceeds benefit the public library!
