Yardley's Jake Mako Earns Eagle Scout Rank

Troop 30 Eagle Scout Jake Mako recently completed a project at Macclesfield Park in Lower Makefield.

Troop 30’s Jake Mako recently earned the rank of Eagle Scout. As part of his requirements for the highest rank in scouting Jake completed an Eagle Scout Leadership Service Project at Macclesfield Park.

Jake led a team of volunteers in the construction of an 8 x 10’ gazebo at the park in Lower Makefield. Jake paid for the project, which took over 290 man hours, using a GoFundMe page to raise the $2400 needed for materials. He chose the project because he has fond memories of playing soccer at the park when he was younger.

Along his trail to Eagle, Jake served his troop in several leadership positions including Instructor and Senior Patrol Leader. He is a Brother in Order of the Arrow Ajapeu Lodge #2. Jake was a member of the Buck County Council contingent to 2013 National Jamboree at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia and attended BSA Sea Base in 2016.
