1 Injured, 5 Displaced After Norristown Fire Destroys Home
A fire in Norristown destroyed a residence, injuring one and leaving five without a home, authorities said.

NORRISTOWN, PA — One person was injured and five more have been left without a home after a destructive fire in Norristown, according to the Norristown Fire Department.
The incident occurred on the 500 block of Arch Street shortly after 7 p.m.
The fire caused severe damage to the home, according to Fire Department Chief Tom O'Donnell.

Only one person was inside the home at the time, and that victim was treated and later released from Paoli Hospital's Trauma Center.
The cause of the fire has been determined to be electrical in nature. Firefighters had the blaze under control in about 30 minutes, O'Donnell said.

The other residents of the home who were displaced included three adults and two children, all of whom are being cared for by American Red Cross in the wake of the incident.
The home where the fire occurred has since been condemned. An adjoining home also suffered smoke damage during the blaze.
