1 Injured In Accidental Shooting At King Of Prussia Mall

The two men involved left the scene and police are searching.

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — Two suspects were on the run late Tuesday night after a shooting that authorities called accidental at the King of Prussia Mall, according to authorities and media reports.

The incident occurred just before 7 p.m. at the mall's Plaza food court, Upper Merion Police said.

Two men were walking together when the weapon was discharged from inside one of the men's pants, according to NBC Philadelphia. One of the two men was injured by the shot.

They left the area after the incident. It's not clear what their condition is.

The initial report of an active shooter sent many mallgoers scrambling for safety, and the mall was locked down. Police responding to the scene cleared the area and quickly determined there was no threat to the public, and the lockdown was lifted.
