11 Arrested At 'No ICE' Protest Inside King Of Prussia Target
More than 100 protesters, including several community faith leaders, took aim at the retail company for supporting ICE efforts.
KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — Eleven activists were arrested at the King of Prussia Target over the weekend after a large protest was held inside the store against the corporation's alleged partnership with ICE.
Protesters with "No ICE Philly" gathered in the checkout area and broke into a song, including the solidarity anthem "We Shall Not Be Moved." Several of the arrested individuals were pastors and leaders from the faith community.
Organizers said more than 100 demonstrators were inside the Target while another larger group was outside. They described the event as "holding space."

"Empire today looks like ICE hurting our neighbors and telling us we should fear them," said Eileen Ruppel-Doan, a reverend at the Reformation Lutheran Church in Media. "We're demanding that Target stop cooperating with ICE and contributing to the violence and fear harming our immigrant neighbors."
Rev. Laura Solomon, minister of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Delaware County, said that the "antidote to fascism is community."

The group targeted Target because they said they've allowed ICE to stage in their parking lots and have failed to protect employees from ICE.
The demonstration, which activists said was entirely peaceful, lasted for about two hours, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Police arrived at 7 p.m. and told protesters to vacate the store. The eleven arrested individuals remained there "in respectful resistance to police warnings," organizers said.
In a statement to Patch, Target reiterated what they've said following similar protests at their locations around the country.
"Target does not have cooperative agreements with ICE or any other immigration enforcement agency," a spokesperson said.
They added that ICE is legally allowed to stage in their parking lots. Activists, however, have called for Target to mandate ICE obtain a warrant signed by a judge before they stage on their property or conduct raids inside their stores.
Activists also called for the company to take a clear stance against ICE and to restore DEI initiatives which they abandoned instantly in Jan. 2025 when President Trump was elected.
Patch has reached out to the company for comment on the King of Prussia protest.
It occurred the day after the third round of thousands of No Kings protests hit the streets around the Philadelphia area and across the country.
