2 Norristown 'Deadbeat Dads' Arrested For Owing Child Support: Sheriff

NORRISTOWN, PA — Eight suspects accused of owing nearly $80K in child support were arrested overnight in Montgomery County, the sheriff's office said.

Two of those suspects were from Norristown.

The accused parents owed a total of $79,775.03 in child support for 11 children, according to the sheriff's office.

Two separate teams of deputies were dispatched to locations around the country from just after midnight Wednesday to around 6:30 a.m.

The following suspects were arrested:

• Jeremy Jackson of 2661 Skippack Pike, Norristown, Pa., owes $16,750.62 for one child
• Darious Johnson of 836 N. Trooper Road, Norristown, Pa., owes $2,718.22 for one child
• Dean Jones of 280 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, Pa., owes $11,868.01 for one child
• Shaun Newell of 1908 Keim St., Pottstown, Pa., owes $6,210.77 for two children.
• Steve Nihart of 428 May St., Pottstown, Pa., owes $35,382.14 for two children
• Anthony Ortiz of 234 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, Pa., owes $3,522.31 for one child
• John Trofa of 326 Winding Way, King of Prussia, Pa., owes $3,062.96 for two children
• Heather Walters of 1013 W. High St., Pottstown, Pa., owes $260.00 for one child

All of the suspects are awaiting preliminary hearings.
