$29,000 Gucci Theft At King Of Prussia Mall: 1 Arrested, 1 Wanted

Two young men entered the mall shortly after it opened, ripping pricy purses from security cables and then fleeing, police said.

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — Police are still seeking one suspect after making one arrest in the massive theft of Gucci products from the King of Prussia Mall.

Nathan Thomas, 30, was taken into custody last week, Upper Merion police announced.

The theft occurred on Monday, Aug. 21 at around 10 a.m. at the mall, when two young men wearing surgical masks entered the Gucci store, police said.

The pair "forcibly removed" several expensive purses from the security cables, and then fled the store into a vehicle that was waiting outside, police said.

The total value of the stolen purses was about $29,000.

Authorities were able to locate the vehicle in Brewerytown in Philadelphia days later, and reviewed hours of surveillance footage to identify and locate Thomas.

The other suspect, who remains unidentified, is believed to be 25 to 35 years old.
