$5,000 Reward Offered In 2015 Norristown Murder: DA

Authorities are hoping a $5,000 reward will bring forward those with knowledge of the 2015 murder of a 27-year-old man in Norristown.

NORRISTOWN, PA —Authorities are offering a $5,000 reward for information connected to the 2015 murder of a 27-year-old man in Norristown, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office announced Wednesday.

Martinis Black was found shot dead on the 800 block of Maple Alley on the morning of Dec. 22, 2015.

No suspects were immediately arrested, although the case was quickly declared a homicide.

Authorities have not released any other details of the case.

District Attorney Kevin Steele said that he thinks there are people with knowledge of the situation in the Norristown community.

"Norristown Police and Montgomery County Detectives are actively working this case and are looking for help from the public," said Steele. "Someone, somewhere knows something and I hope this $5,000 is the incentive they need to do the right thing and share what they know about the killer. We want to find Mr. Black's murderer and bring justice to his family."
