Arrest Made In Norristown Teen's Murder
Breaking: An 18-year-old has been arrested for the murder of a Norristown teen last weekend, officials said.

NORRISTOWN, PA — An 18-year-old has been arrested for the murder of a Norristown teen last weekend in a drug deal gone awry, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office announced Friday.
Andre Marcus Johnson, 18, of Philadelphia, faces murder, robbery, and related charges in connection with the killing of 19-year-old Desmond Johnson, authorities said. The two are not related.
The incident occurred at around 11:52 p.m. on Saturday night, June 16, on Carson Alley behind 330 E. Penn Street in Norristown, police said.

Police said that an investigation revealed that the suspect arranged to meet the victim to buy marijuana from him.

When Desmond Johnson arrived at the meeting place, however, Andre Marcus Johnson robbed him and then shot him multiple times, according to authorities.
Desmond Johnson was found dead on the scene by first responders. An autopsy by the Montgomery County Coroner's Office revealed the cause of death as a gunshot wound to the chest.
Bail was denied for Andre Marcus Johnson and a preliminary hearing has been set for July 3.
