Attempted Child Luring In Bridgeport Has Police On Alert

"Get in the car," the suspect allegedly said to an 11-year-old boy as he pulled up to him.

BRIDGEPORT, PA -- Police in Bridgeport are on alert after an attempted child luring on Sunday.

An 11-year-old boy was playing on the sidewalk in front of his home on the 600 block of Ford Street on Sunday evening.

At about 7:42 p.m., a light blue minivan pulled up, police said.

A white male passenger opened the side door and said "Get in the car," according to police.

The boy said he then ran back to the front door of his home and the minivan drove away.

The van was heading south on Ford Street toward Dekalb Street, police said.

The photo attached above is a surveillance video shot of the suspected vehicle. It is believed to be a later 1990's model with large dent above the passenger side front wheel well.

The passenger of the van is described as a white male in his late 40's with a goatee and curly blonde or brown hair. He had rotten teeth, police said.

The driver was a white female of unknown age or description.
