Summer Reading Club – Win prizes for reading! Pick up a summer reading log in the Children’s Department and keep track of the minutes you read. For every two hours you read or have been read to, you win a free book and a chance to win a bicycle or a $50 Barnes & Noble gift certificate. (Maximum 10 free books per child.) Please check in your reading logs by August 15 to claim your prizes and enter the drawings! For children ages 0-12.

Skill Toys Workshop – 12:00 pm – Learn how to master skill toys like Chinese yoyos, spinning plates, flower sticks, and more! Led by Paul Miller of Flow Circus. For kids entering grades 4-8. Registration required.

Superhero Party! – 1:00 pm - Join us for a fun and entertaining demonstration of skill toys featuring Flow Circus. Wear a costume and win a prize! Light refreshments provided. Drop in. For ages 4 and up.

Build! –10:30 am-12:00 pm -- Create and build using a variety of great materials for the budding engineer: LEGO, K’Nex, Straws & Connectors, and more! For children entering grades K-6—children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Drop in.

Monday Movies – 1:00 pm – Join us to watch some family favorites (rated G or PG). Movies will be shown on a large screen in the community room on the first floor. All ages.

Tuesdays through August 4

Leaping Lizards! – 10:30 am – Animal fun with stories, songs, and movement for the older toddler and preschool child. Drop in.

Crafternoon – 3:00 pm – Are you super creative? Come in for some spectacular crafts, including paracord bracelets, rainbow loom, nature crafts, duct tape creations, craft stick art, and more! For kids entering grades 1-6. First come, first served. Children under age 8 must be accompanied by an adult.

Baby Lap Rap – 9:30 am OR 10:30am - Simple stories, songs, rhymes and fingerplays for your baby and you! Ages 0-24 months with a caregiver. Drop in.

KidsMake: CreateSpace – 2:00 pm – Have you earned a badge at a KidsMake workshop? Equipment and materials are available for kids to work on projects of their own choosing. For kids entering grades 3-6. Drop in for children who have previously attended KidsMake or Sew Awesome.
