Big Apple Circus Coming To Montgomery Co. This Summer

Jugglers, gymnasts, animal trainers, Guiness World Record holders, and more are coming to Montgomery County during the show's 41st season.

OAKS, PA — For the second summer in a row, a major national circus will perform in Montgomery County.

New York's Big Apple Circus, which has been performing around the country since 1977, will be at the Oaks Expo Center from May 16 through June 16.

"It’s such a unique show, and one that sets amazing records wherever it goes," Mike Bowman, President & CEO of the Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board, said in announcing the show. "Arts and culture are huge here, and we know that Montco is a great spot for large entertainment like this. So, we just know that families, kids, and adults alike are all going to love coming to the circus."

The circus will feature a wide variety of events, including Valeriy Sychev, a former competitive gymnast from the Russian National Gymnastics team, animal trainers, Guiness World Record holders, jugglers, and more.

In addition, Ammed Tuniziani of the Flying Tunizianis will be on hand. Tuniziani is one of only two living performers to successfully land the quadruple somersault on the trapeze, according to the circus.

The show will also feature Emil Faltyny, who holds the Guinness World Record for the longest time spent juggling five objects while standing on footplates on a free ladder, the circus said. His record is 57 seconds.

The event will be held in a Big Top tent that can seat 1,700 and is based off the European circus model where no attendee is more than 50 feet from the action at any time.
