Black History Month Educational Showcase Features Rare Exhibits and Vendor Showcase at The Centre Theater

Norristown, PA- Reflections “Positive News for a Change” Magazine presents “Black History is American History” a month-long educational showcase is free and open by appointment only during Black History Month at The Vance Center 212 Cherry St. Norristown, PA Beginning Monday, February 1, 2016 through Sunday February 28, 2016. On Friday February 12th at 12:00 noon the Black History Showcase and performances begin. A number vendors and community organizations will display and provide information on their services at The Centre Theater 208 DeKalb St., Norristown, PA.

Featuring the private collection of Publisher Howard Scott’s 18th century slave restraints and shackles and select items of the famed Dr. Joel Freeman’s collection of 16th century artifacts. Local artists will perform dramatizations, historic depictions, skits, song, music, spoken word, poetry and music.
