Boil Water Advisory Issued In Norristown, Lower Providence
There is an increased chance that the water in parts of Norristown, Lower Providence contains disease-causing organisms, the company said.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Residents in parts of Lower Providence Township and Norristown are being advised to boil their water due to a loss of pressure in a storage tank, Pennsylvania American Water announced Thursday.
The company said that due to the loss of pressure, conditions could form that would allow contamination to enter the distribution system through backflow by back-pressure or back-siphonage.
This means there is an increased chance that the water could contain disease-causing organisms.

Alternate water sources will be provided via tanks, which are stationed at the following areas:
- The Pennsylvania American Water office parking located at 10 Willey Street
- Betts Park at intersection of Route 6 West and Ludlow Street
When boiling water, ensure that it boils for one minute. All water should be boiled for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth, and preparing food until further notice, the company said.
