Bomb Threat Leads To Evacuation Of East Norriton Middle School
Local authorities executed a sweep of East Norriton Middle School on Monday after the school received a bomb threat.

Students and staff were evacuated from East Norriston Middle School on Monday morning after the school received a bomb threat, the Norristown Area School District confirmed.
Local authorities swept the building immediately but nothing was found, and the district is now treating the threat as a false alarm.
"We will continue to work with local authorities as we pinpoint and investigate the origin of this hoax," said Principal Christina Spink. "We will continue to communicate with parents and guardians."

The precise nature of the threat is not known.
Students were evacuated to Norristown Area High School while the middle school was checked, district officials said.

All students were provided with lunch before returning to the building to continue their regular schedule at 12:30 p.m.
