BREAKING: 3 Killed In Norristown House Fire
Three people, including one child, died in an early-morning house fire Saturday in Norristown. Others are being treated at area hospitals.

Three people, including one child, died in an early-morning house fire Saturday in Norristown, Montgomery County.
The fire was reported in a three-story apartment home at about 4 a.m., the Norristown Fire Department said.
Another child is in critical condition at CHOP and five other adults have been transported to other hospitals, NBC10 reports.

When emergency responders arrived at the scene, they found two deceased adults inside the building. One child was taken to Einstein Hospital Montgomery, but later died, 6ABC said.
The Norristown Fire Department released a statement on Saturday in the wake of the incident:

Once again a fire tragedy this morning has taken lives of the Norristown Community. Our firefighters made numerous valiant efforts to make rescues this morning. Unfortunately the outcome was not what we had hoped for. Our thoughts and prayers continue for those affected. We also thank all those who assisted us and the victims this morning. From the numerous fire companies and firefighters that responded, to the Red Cross, EMS, Police Officers, Crisis Workers and many others. Please, let's avoid this tragedy again, make sure you have working Smoke Detectors in your home, and get out alive!
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
