Bridgeport Ribhouse, Rotation Records & Musicopia Band Together To Support Norristown Schools

Musical Instruments and Proceeds From "Fifth Annual Ribstock" Were Presented to Eisenhower School In Norristown

Students and faculty from Eisenhower School in Norristown received the gift of music last week when representatives from Musicopia, The Bridgeport Ribhouse, Rotation Records, dmk Publicity and nationally-acclaimed rock band Get The Led Out’s Paul Hammond stopped by to donate the music instruments and proceeds from the “Fifth Annual Ribstock”.

Held February at The Bridgeport Ribhouse, “Ribstock” is a charity event that raises money for Musicopia, a local non-profit that works to build sustained partnerships with school districts throughout the region and is a leader in revitalizing in and after school music programs.

To celebrate the fifth anniversary of the event, nine bands performed this year including: Barometer, Hot Sauce Junkies, Juliano Brothers, AM Radio, Catullus, Dead Flowers, Mile High Club, Paul Sinclair and Friends (of Get The Led Out), and WMGK FM “House Band” Work Release.

In addition to the musicians, two local business organizations showed their support for “Ribstock” this year -- Rotation Records and axis Construction Management. Rotation Records, located in Norristown, is a full service, state of the art recording studio and live entertainment organization and axis Construction Management, located in Conshohocken, PA, provides construction project management, general contracting, tenant improvement, design/build, and a host of related services to commercial and institutional clients throughout the Philadelphia region and along the East Coast.

“Being a part of Ribstock was the highlight of our year. Not only did we get to be a part of some of the best music you can find for miles, but we also got to continue our company’s mission to give back to the arts in our local schools and children, said Joe Staiber, CEO and owner of Rotation Records. “We sincerely thank the musicians and staff that so generously donated their time and exceptional talent for such a great local cause.”

This popular event was created by the Bridgeport Ribhouse staff, Philadelphia musicians Kevin Burk, Brian Quinn and Paul Hammond, sound engineer Dave Anderson, and dmk Publicity Owner Denise Kovalevich as a way to give back to the community’s school music programs by partnering with Musicopia.

Plans for this year’s “Ribstock” are already underway. Any interested parties should contact The Bridgeport Ribhouse.
