The world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales are coming back to Montgomery County.

POTTSTOWN, PA -- The world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales are coming to Pottstown.

The majestic, fluffy-footed horses will trot in the Pottstown Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 29, and they're set to make several appearances around the borough throughout the day.

The horses, which have been a symbol of the Anheuser-Busch company since 1933, will be harnessed to a red beer wagon at the Good Will Fire Company at 10:15 a.m. on Memorial Day.

The eight horses will then proceed along the parade route, west on High Street, north on Manatawny Street, and west on King Street, before ending in Memorial Park, officials said.

The traveling horses make hundreds of appearances throughout the year, and have previously participated in events in local municipalities like Ambler and West Chester.

According to organizers, Budweiser Clydesdale horses must be at least three years old, six feet tall, and weigh 200 pounds.

During the early 20th century, the Clydesdales delivered beer by wagon. They traveled with a dalmatian to protect the horses and their goods while they were on the road.
