Card Skimmer Found On Sandy Street ATM In Norristown: Cops

NORRISTOWN, PA -- Police said that a credit card skimmer was attached to the ATM inside the 7-11 on Sandy Street in Norristown.

The skimmer was discovered on Sunday, March 26, police said.

Authorities said they did not know how long the skimmer had been attached.

Skimmers are attached to point of sale registers and ATMs by criminals to lift vital credit card information during transactions.

If you have used this 7-11 ATM recently, you are urged to check your bank account and contact your bank regarding any suspicious transactions.

The 7-11 is located on 1335 Sandy Street.
