Conshohocken Train Victim ID'd, Ruled Suicide

The tragic incident occurred Sunday night.

CONSHOHOCKEN, PA - The woman struck and killed by a SEPTA regional rail train in Conshohocken on Sunday, on January 3, has been identified, and her death has been ruled as a suicide.

Amanda White, 29, of Radnor, died at about 10 p.m. on the commuter tracks near 500 Washington Street between the Spring Mill and Conshohocken train stops, according to the Times Herald.

The train, on the Manayunk-Norristown line, was headed from Norristown to Philadelphia.

White was pronounced dead at the scene.

Service was shut down on the Manayunk-Norristown regional rail line in the aftermath of the incident, but was restarted with delays on Monday morning.
