Crews Battle House Fire In Upper Merion Thursday

A fire broke out Thursday afternoon on a Hughes Road home. Crews from around the area responded to battle the fire.

UPPER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA – Crews from the Swedeland and nearby fire companies battled a house fire in Upper Merion Township Thursday afternoon, according to the fire company.

The fire company, joined by the Radnor Fire Company, responded to a house fire on the 500 block of Hughes Road in Upper Merion at about 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7.

Upon arrival, crews found a small fire on the exterior of the home's second floor.

The fire was placed under control shortly and the scene was clear by about 2 p.m., according to the fire company.

Crews from King of Prussia, Gladwyne, and Berwyn fire companies also responded to the scene.
