Deadline To Receive Absentee Ballots In Montgomery County Extended
The deadline for absentee ballots in Montgomery County has been extended after hundreds said they hadn't received one.

NORRISTOWN, PA -- The Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas has granted an extension to the deadline to receive absentee ballots for the 2016 election.
The county made the announcement on Thursday night after hundreds of voters reported that they had not yet received one. A judge initially rejected a request to have the deadline extended on Monday.
The deadline has been moved back from Friday, November 4, to 8 p.m. on Election Day, November 8.

“We are pleased Judge Moore granted us this extension, so all those who have qualified absentee ballots are able to participate in this process,” said Valerie Arkoosh, Chair of the Montgomery County Board of Elections, in a statement.
County voter service hours have also been extended for individuals who wish to return their ballots in person.

11/4: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
11/5: 9 a.m. to noon
11/6: noon to 3 p.m.
11/7: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
