Duncan, Elmwood Park Zoo's Nigerian Dwarf Goat, Passes Away At 15
Zookeepers described Duncan as a "sweetheart" who was "loved by his caretakers and guests alike."

NORRISTOWN, PA — A beloved Nigerian Dwarf goat named Duncan has passed away at the Elmwood Park Zoo, zoo officials announced on Thursday.
Duncan had outlived his species life expectancy of 12 to 14 years by living to age 15. The zoo described his cause of death to due to complications from old age. He was euthanized on Feb. 9.
Zookeepers described Duncan as a "sweetheart" who was "loved by his caretakers and guests alike."

"Duncan will be greatly missed by those who visited him in the barn, and by those who worked with him regularly," the zoo said in a statement announcing his passing.
Nigerian Dwarf goats are native to western Africa and can acclimate to a both hot and cold climates. Two goats - Dante and Opal - remain at Elmwood.
