Eagles Are Becoming Super Bowl Favorites: Latest Odds Ahead Of Giant Showdown
As the 2018 Eagles and 2022 Phils know all too well, great Philly teams thrive as underdogs. But it's getting hard to ignore the 11-1 Birds.

PHILADELPHIA, PA — As the Super Bowl champion 2018 Eagles and National League champion 2022 Phillies know all too well, great Philadelphia teams thrive as underdogs.
But it's getting harder and harder for the football world to ignore the 11-1 Birds, who are just weeks away from securing the first seed in the playoffs and a first round bye.
The latest odds from DraftKings Sportsbook have the Eagles as plus 500 odds to win it all this year. They have the third best odds in the NFL and the best odds in the NFC, trailing only the Buffalo Bills (plus 350) and the perenially contending Kansas City Chiefs (also plus 500).

It's especially impressive given that the Eagles were widely seen as fringe playoff contenders with a chance to get a few games above .500 in a best case scenario before the season began. DraftKing's preseason odds for an Eagles Super Bowl win were exponentially higher, at 4000.
The Birds will face a giant test this weekend when they take on their archrival divisional foes, the New York Giants, this Sunday in south Philly. The Giants are an upstart team themselves, running to an impressive 7-4-1 start and making up part of the potent threesome that is hot on the Birds' heels in an NFC East that is suddenly football's best. The Dallas Cowboys are in second at 9-3, the Giants are in third, and the Redskins aren't far behind in fourth at 7-4.

While the Eagles Super Bowl odds are improving with each win, so too is quarterback Jalen Hurts' MVP case. He currently sits at plus 163 odds to win the award, trailing only Chiefs superstar QB Patrick Mahomes, according to Sports Betting Dime.
On the season, Hurts has thrown 20 touchdowns, completing 243 of 357 passes for 2,940 yards. His stunning quarterback rating of 108.3 for the season is third among all qualified passers. He's also rushed for 609 yards with an average of 4.6 yards per carry, dynamic numbers that place him — at least in terms of single season performance — firmly in the Donovan McNabb and Randall Cunningham tier of all-time Eagles greats.
