PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Eagles 2020 football seasonn, pandemic edition, begins this weekend when they take on Washington down in the nation's capital. They'll square off at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 13.

The game is one of 16 on the slate for Week 1 of the 2020 National Football League season. The league’s 101st season is scheduled to begin Thursday, when the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs host the Houston Texans in the NFL kickoff game on NBC.

There are three other prime-time NFL games in Week 1. The night game on Sunday will feature the Dallas Cowboys visiting the Los Angeles Rams on NBC. On Monday night, ESPN will air a double-header starting with the Pittsburgh Steelers at New York Giants at 7 p.m. Eastern Time and conclude with the Tennessee Titans at Denver Broncos at 10:10 p.m. Eastern Time.

Nine games are scheduled to begin Sunday at 1 p.m. Eastern Time, and other three games that day are slated for the late window, beginning at 4 p.m. Eastern Time.

CBS will air five early games and one late game. Fox has the broadcast for four early games and two late games, including the “Game of the Week” between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints.

The defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs battled the Houston Texans in the season opener on Thursday night, with the Chiefs coming away victorious, 34-20.
