PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Eagles got another bit of bad injury news on Monday morning.

All-Pro offensive lineman, guard Brandon Brooks, will miss the remainder of the postseason, head coach Doug Pederson told reporters during a press conference. Brooks missed most of the season finale against the New York Giants on Sunday after going down with a dislocated shoulder, and it doesn't look like he'll be able to make a return to the gridiron until next season.

Brooks will require surgery on the shoulder.

The Birds have been without numerous starters for the last several weeks, but this loss really stings. Brooks is one of the pre-eminent guards in the game, having been named to three consecutive Pro Bowl teams and playing all of 14 of the Eagles 16 games this year.

Brooks fought hard through the offseason to recover from an Achilles injury. He's even battled through anxiety issues, including a "normal routine of morning vomiting," to remain one of the best in the sport. His willingness to be open about that struggle has drawn him praise from around the league.

The Eagles could also be without another All Pro offensive lineman, tackle Lane Johnson, something which would expose Carson Wentz to even greater pressure from the Seattle Seahawks defense in the Wild Card playoff game next weekend.

Running back Miles Sanders' status is still questionable for next week after going down with an ankle injury. It also remains unclear if other key parts of the Eagles offense, like Zach Ertz, will be ready to go.

Defensive end Daeshon Hall is also out for the remainder of the playoffs with a torn ACL, the team announced Monday.

A clearer picture of the Birds injury report for next weekend should be available later in the week.
