Eagles Vs. Titans Preseason Opener: What To Know

The Eagles make their return to the gridiron Thursday night in Philadelphia when they host the Tennessee Titans in their preseason opener.

The game is set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field, and will be broadcast on NBC10. Radio coverage is on 94 WIP.

Do not expect Eagles regulars to see too much action, as top players are often relegated to limited action in preseason games.

For Eagles fans, a big question heading into Thursday night is surely whether or not they'll get to see franchise quarterback Carson Wentz take any snaps. The team has not clarified whether Wentz will appear in the game.

Wentz also gave his views on preseason games in general. The teams run full practices, leading some to question the necessity of games, where season-ending injury is a risk on any given play.

“I think a little bit is helpful," Wentz said, according to NBC Sports. "But it’s definitely never needed.”

Fans can also keep a lookout for top draft pick and one-time Philadelphia obsession, Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota. It wasn't that long ago that speculation placed Mariota in Philadelphia with then head coach Chip Kelly. Of course, don't expect Mariota to see too many snaps Thursday night, either.

The team has three more preseason games after this Thursday, before their regular season kicks off on Sept. 8 against the Washington Redskins.
