Eagles Uniforms Rank Among NFL's Best: Sporting News

PHILADELPHIA, PA — While the Eagles were unable to defend their Super Bowl title this year, they remain among the most stylish teams in the NFL, according to at least one list.

The Birds have the league's ninth best uniforms, out of 32 teams, according to the Sporting News, placing them among the top echelon of the well suited.

Unfortunately, the hated Dallas Cowboys came in first overall on the list, and cross-state rivals, the Pittsburgh Steelers, were third overall.

Here's what the outlet had to say about the Eagles uniforms:

"Philly's helmets are among the best in the NFL, and the black facemasks work thanks to the prominence of black in all of the team's uniform combinations. With three jersey color options and three pants color options, the Eagles are able (and willing) to change up their look each week."

This is despite the fact that the Eagles have not yet reverted to the Kelly green uniforms )Which Sporting News thinks are better).

What makes the Cowboys and Seahawks uniforms better? Halslop called Dallas' Cowboys star blue look "equally iconic and unique," while the Seahawks "have four jersey color options and four pants color options to pair with their sharp looking navy blue helmets. Seattle takes full-advantage of all those options."

Eagles fans will be elated to learn that the New England Patriots have what the Sporting News considers the NFL's ugliest uniforms and badly in need of an update.
