East Norriton To Get $900,000 Water Line Upgrade
The much needed project will replace 5,000 feet of aging water main that dates back to the 1950s.

NORRISTOWN, PA – Construction began in East Norriton Township Monday to install a new water main to improve service reliability, prevent water outages and fire protection, Pennsylvania American Water announced in a press release.
The project will replace approximately 5,000 feet of aging water main that dates back to the 1950s.
Starting this week, crews will install new eight-inch ductile iron pipe along Colonial Drive, Colonial Circle, Valley View Road, Valley View Circle, Springview Road, 4th Avenue and Montgomery Avenue. Construction will take place weekdays between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Traffic restrictions will be in place during construction hours, and motorists are urged to find alternate routes.

The company expects to complete the water main upgrades and service tie-ins by September. Weather permitting. final paving restoration will take place by end of 2016 or spring 2017.
