East Norriton Police On Alert After Video Recordings Of Children

Police in East Norriton dispatched extra patrols following two incidents, but they are not believed to be related, nor pose a threat.

EAST NORRITON, PA — Police in East Norriton dispatched extra patrols following two odd incidents recently, but the incidents are not believed to be related, nor pose a threat, authorities said.

Two separate families reported that a car drove past their children and appeared to be recording a video as it came by.

Police investigated the incidents and said that because there was no attempted contact, there does not appear to be any danger. Moreover, the two incidents are not believed to be related due to differing circumstances.

Police issued the following statement:

"We are asking township residents to be vigilant and call the police if you see behavior or activities that simply do not seem right. It gives us the best opportunity to identify (suspects) and figure out if a crime is occurring when you call at the time you see it. Please don’t wait."
