Elmwood Zoo's Red Fox Taken Off Display, Receiving Treatment
The 14-year-old Saki is being treated following an injury to his foot, zoo officials said.
NORRISTOWN, PA — A red fox at Norristown's Elmwood Park Zoo has been taken off exhibit and is receiving treatment following an injury, zoo officials said.
The 14-year-old male, named Saki, injured his foot.
He received a thorough evaluation on Wednesday, including blood work, radiographs, and intravenous fluids.

The veterinary department is taking care of him, and he is now "doing well," according to the zoo.
It's expected that Saki will only be temporarily away from his exhibit, and should be able to interact with the public in the near future.
