Employee Stabs Another Worker At Montco Restaurant: Police

The man fled into Conshohocken immediately after the incident but was captured, authorities said.

CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — An employee at a Conshohocken restaurant stabbed another employee on Saturday afternoon, police said.

The incident occurred at around 4 p.m. at Bar Luca, located on the 700 block of Hector Street.

It's not yet clear what led to the incident.

Police said that the suspect used a "small pocket type knife" in the stabbing.

Officers responding to the scene provided first aid to the victim, and he was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The suspect fled the restaurant but was captured a few blocks away "without any further incidents or disruption to the community," police said.

The victim is recovering.

"I want to thank our staff and the Whitemarsh police for both being swift and incredible in handling the situation," Bar Luca owner Brian Pieri said in a statement. "Our remaining energy will be spent focusing on the staff member who was unfortunately involved, unwillingly in the altercation. I’m very grateful for the incredible work by the WM police department and Chef Will and his team. Thank you to all those who reached out to be supportive."

Whitemarsh Police, Plymouth Township Police, Conshohocken Police, and West Conshohocken Police all responded to the scene.
